Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio
woman beaten
woman was beaten in the face by a man. she had to have surgery because her face was crushed. it happened in the city. she said she wanted to press charges and the police officer said it didn't work that way. that would be up to the prosecuting attorney. she went to the county prosecutor and nothing has been done. should she go to the city prosecutor by it happening in the city? i just dont understand why he wasn't arrested. he gets by with this kind of thing alot. everyone is afraid of him. this beating took place months ago and she is still having alot of problems. the police officer even lied in her statement. there is witnesses that told what happened and they still didnt arrest the guy. she has alot of medical bills and she cant pay them. shouldn't he be responsible for the medical bills? something just don't add up. any response to my questions will be greatly appreciated. thanks for your time.

Re: woman beaten
A lot can be done. Call me directly. I'm in Cleveland, but I can walk you thru this, and if they do nothing in the face of good facts, you can sue the city.
