Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

Every year this guy cuts my grass and charges $50. I called him this year and he came to cut the grass. I asked him to a couple of branches from a tree, but first to tell me how much. He never told me. He handed me a bill for 250.00. I refused to pay and he called the police. The police came and asked me if I was going to pay him. I said $100.00 and the guy gave me two receipts one said 250 and the other said 100, discount rate. Today, I received a letter from a lawyer stating he was collecting a debt for 250.00. I called the office, they have a copy of the police report. What can I do? Should I counter sue as I can not find the receipt? I am on disability for mental condition of depression and this matter is really upsetting me.

You need to pay up. You do not have cause to counter-sue (no attorney will take this case) and it will be much more expensive for you if you do not settle this now.
