Legal Question in Technology Law in Ohio
I am an alltel customer, now that Verizon has aquired alltel is my contract still binding? I would like to get a new phone the one I have has internet & e-mail I no longer can afford these services. I have recently retired and I will need to trim my bills to accomidate a fixed income. I would probably stay with Verizon but I would like a new contract.

The contract probably has an assignment clause. Meaning, the successor in interest to Alltell has the same rights under the contract. Notwithstanding, you can probably keep the contract and just change the services. I have a Sprint contract, and they let me cut my services (and cost) in half.
