Legal Question in Technology Law in Ohio

Hi. I'm about developing a program and I'm currently on the internet looking for people with the right resources to partner with. Is there a way to protect my idea from being stolen by the people i discuss with on the internet, aside from not revealing too much information. Can i have a non disclosure or non compete agreement with someone over the internet. Thanks in advance.

Sure, you can have someone assent to a contract online. But even an NDA/NNN agreement is not going to protect a bald idea or general business concept. It will have to be properly particularized.

If you have concerns, I suggest that you consult with a lawyer in private and discuss your objectives in more detail. You can start by calling around to several for a free phone consultation, get some insights then pick the best fit to work with.

If you would like to discuss further over a free phone consult, feel free to contact me anytime that is convenient.

Our firm is now referred by the American Bar Association (see under the New York section): http://www.americanbar.org/groups/delivery_legal_services/resources/programs_to_help_those_with_moderate_income.html

Kind regards,

Frank
