Legal Question in Construction Law in Ohio
My husband worked for same company as sub contractor for 25 years for a railroad company in utah. They fired him because they say he didn't follow the way they graded the ties any more. They also kept his last pay check. Do we have any course of action to take. He did same job for 23 years for them and then 2 years ago another gentlemen took over as there boss. He claims they are not doing job correctly and let them go. Any info would help?

Did your husband do work in Ohio for that Utah company? Was he doing work here when he was fired? If he was doing work here, Ohio law likely applies (depending on whether another state's law is listed in a contract). If he did the work in Utah, their law might apply. You have a rather complicated wage & hour issue and breach of contract issue here. Feel free to call me to discuss more in depth to see if there is anything specifically I can do for you, or if I can get you in touch with someone who can. This sort of question unfortunately cannot be answered online without more information. My office number is (216) 236-8202.
