Legal Question in Construction Law in Ohio

I live in Ar. and was hired as a subcontractor to work in Ohio.

We agreed upon a price of 25 a light ,20 dollars a day per , 100 dollars per vehicle for travel , and he pd hotel. After removing 156 lights and installing 30 and running 500 ft of wire he gave me 630

Which he said was my half for installing 30 lights . I never agreed to half the pay with him.

He said he owed me nothing for removal or running wire which took my six people 2 full days

When I explained this he cancelled our hotel and we had 1 hr to be out or arrested for trespassing

What do I need to do to get paid ? He also never gave us per diem

Dear Contractor: Your right to recovery and payment will depend upon your agreement, whether in wirting or not, and properly countersigned and witnessed, etc. What was your actual agreement?

If your agreement was strictly oral (verbal) your problem is that there is no way to prove, conclusively, the terms and words of any such agreement. It's your words against the other person's and, who to believe?

I suggest you contact an experienced construction attorney, to assist you with your claims.

Good luck!

Sincerely, J. Norman Stark, Cleveland, Ohio
