Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
A family friend settled a accident claim for me. She is not a laywer. I signed a paper stating I would give her a amount of money. The letter is hand writen and was not nororized can she hold that against me in court? My family is angry that I singned the note and does'nt want me giving her that amount but giving her a lesser amount is there someting I can do or do I have to give her the amount that is on the letter. Thanks

You do not have to pay her because she is not a lawyer. She would be guilty of practicing law without a license. (180 days jail sentence)
