Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
gift certificate
purchased a gift certificate to a beauty salon and called to set an appointment. The message stated that the people who ran the place are no longer there and the person who was on the recording was out of town so just leave a message. My question is .....if there is a new owner does she have to reimburse me for the money or if she can provide me with the services promised? And if the place is out of business can I get my money back? The certificate expires in 2 weeks. What can I do?
THANKS

Re: gift certificate
If someone buys the business the contract should include a provision requiring the new owner to honor previous arrangements
