Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
Internet law
I live in Michigan and placed a deposit by paypal on a dog in Ohio on December 27th. The next morning our furnace burned up. I called the breeder and pleaded with them to refund my money, they would not. I had to drive 4 hours to get this dog the next day or risk loosing my deposit and the dog. I had no choice. They do state on their website that refunds or non-refundable, but being within 24 hours, do I have any rights? I now have this dog I do not want, but they said because I signed this contract which I had to sign or they would have kept the dog AND my money. I am now stuck with this dog and need the money. Is there anything that protects a buyer because they had not even had my money even 24 hours. The bank could not cancel it, nor could paypal..as paypal works fast.
Thank you for your time.

There is no grace period to back out of a contract unless it involves a loan using your house as collateral. contract. The dog is yours to do as you please with, such as sell it to someone who wants it.
