Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
Loan
I took out a personal loan for someone in the state of Ohio witha verbal agreement that the monthly payments would be made. The first two monthly payments were made but none subsequently. I have a copy of the check that was originially issued. How can I go about collecting this money in small claims court ?
Thank you

Re: Loan
You need to go to the municipal court wherre the defendant lives. Unfortunately you will need to appear for a hearing. If you sue on the regular docket you may be able to get a default judgment without having to appear. However, if the matter is contested, you will have to appear anyways.
Good luck.
