How long do I have to file for lemon law

In Ohio, the Lemon Law only applies to new car purchases and the matters you are complaining about must have occurred within the first year after purchase or the first 18,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
You also need to check to see if the automobile manufacturer has registered for an arbitration process with the Ohio Attorney General's office and go through that process first before you can sue (the arbitration is binding upon the automaker but not binding upon you if you don't like the result).
