Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
Serious manufactured home defects and mold
Our home was installed 1 year ago. We noticed major problems with poor workmanship & required drainage not done. So much that we hired an attorney, and have filed suit for $56,000 in damages/repairs on a $120,000 home. Now we have mold in our wet crawlspace. We feel like nothing is getting done, although we offered to settle if we got our choice of contractors: they declined. Should we notify state AG office/BBB/local TV stations about the home dealer, or will that jeopardize our case? We have paid lawyer $5,000 to date, but feel he isn't aggressive enough to take this forward. If we get a new lawyer do we have to start all over?

Re: Serious manufactured home defects and mold
Definitely call all those offices. You may even want to notify potential customers of this contractor. That may get you sued so you have to be very careful as to what you tell them and how you do it. Contact your attorney about that specifically. He may be doing his job and simply hasn't been able to get the contractor's attention.
