Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio

In Ohio, there are limits on how long you can execute upon a judgment against a debtor in the state of Ohio. If the judgment has gone "dormant" (no efforts made to enforce it in the last five years) then the owner of the judgment cannot take any collection efforts on it (like garnishing wages) until the debt has been "revived" (there is a process by which the owner of the judgment can file something with the court and bring the judgment back to life.

But if no action has been taken for ten years, the new rule is that the judgment is dead for good and cannot be revived.
