Sold an illegal car
I have recently purchased a surplus 2002 Dodge Intrepid police package vehicle from a dealer and the vehicle still had all the markings and lights from the city it came from. I recently found out it was illegal even though I didn't have the lights on or using anything. but it was illegal for me to even have them. Now I have a car I cannot drive and the dealer won't take it back. I almost got arrested and my car impounded for impersonating a police officer. The dealership told me they would take the equip. off but I want to take the car back for the hassle and headache of almost ruining my soon to be carreer as a trooper. The bank told me that Ihad to talk to the dealer. So I was wondering if there was anything I could do, since they sold me the illegal car.

Has it been three business days? If not, take it back NOW. If it has been 3 days, you potentially have a case, but it could be that you should have known. What were you told by the salesman?
