Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio

Stolen Mail

I shipped my Microsoft X-Box 360 to the Service Center for repairs via UPS. They repaired it, and shipped back to me via UPS, however due to my busy work schedule I wasn't at home to recieve it on any of the attempts made, and the shipment required a signature so they could not leave it. According to UPS policy after the third attempt is the final attemt and then the package sits at the customer service center for 5 days and if its still is not claimed then it will be returned to its shipper. It was during this stage that the criminal forgged my signature and claimed my product. I'm not sure who this individual was but I it wasn't me, I was @ work during that time and I have paper work signed and notorized stating just that. This problem occured on the 24th of March and its been under investigation until now. Neither Microsoft or X-Box is willing to take responsibility for this they are both telling me its nothing else that they could do. I needhelp this is a four hundre dollar product & no one is trying to reimburse me. These are to multi billion dollar companies and they are screwing me around and I'm the customer. Microsoft said that they'd be sending me another console, but then they called me & said the request was denied

Re: Stolen Mail

The party responsible is UPS as they were in possession of the item when it was stolen. You could sue them in small claims court. Or, you could try turning it over to your homeowners insurance if you have it.
