Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
Vandalism
I store a work vehicle at a local storage facility. The vehicle was vandalized. The windshield and rear windows were broken out by rocks thrown from the railroad tracks that run along the property. The contract clearly states I am responsible for any damage or theft on their site. However while speaking to one of the associates of the facility they informed me that there have been repeated instances over the past several months of other vehicle windows being broken in the same manner mine were and in the same area along the railroad tracks where my vehicle was parked. I feel the facility was negligent in not informing me of the obvious potential risk my vehicle was under parked in that location. The associate also informed me that they no longer will be renting the spots along the railroad tracks because of the vandalism. I would like them to reimburse me for the cost of replacing all of the windows. Do I have a case and if so how should I proceed.

Re: Vandalism
Yes, it sounds like you do have a case. Depending on the amount of damage done, you could sue them in small claims court, or hire an attorney.
