Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

A bill collector is calling and sending bills to someone at thier workplace that the bill does not belong to. The bill is in another one's name and the letters are being sent to someone else in thier name and making alot of calls and mail to try to collect

You may have the protections of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act if the person attempting to collect the debt is not the original creditor. If a third party tries to collect for someone else, then that third party is subject to the FDCPA.
