Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Bounced check

I bounced a check that I wrote for fifteen dollars about seven years ago and I never took care of it. I just now have recieved a letter from a credit agency and they're saying that if I don't pay them 142 dollars that a warrant will be put out for my arrest. Is this true?

Re: Bounced check

Re: Bounced check

You should post your inquiry under the "criminal law" category as I believe that the statute of limitations may have expired. If it has, you cannot be prosecuted at this late date. Someone in the criminal law section should be able to give you a more definitive answer.
