Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

co-signer sue a primary signer

My wife co-signed for a loan 5 years ago for an ex of hers, the truck went into default and was in such bad shape the repo people wouldn't take it. The primary signer won't pay off the loan settlement that was offered. If I pay the loan off to save my wifes credit can I sue the primary loan holder, and can i charge interest ?

Re: co-signer sue a primary signer

Well, since you are married you could just pay it off for the wife and then have the wife go after him for the amount she paid.

You will want to get an attorney to assist you with this. I do have experience in this area. Feel free to contact me for a free consultation.
