Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Co-signing Responsibility

I co-signed on a loan for a car, for a male friend. I am a 24 year old, single mother of two, and just completed time in military 6 months ago. I have been divorced for 3 months, and I am attending college full-time, along with working part-time. I just bought a house 7 months ago, and have really good credit. The person I co-signed for is 19, and has turned out to be a lot of trouble. He has done illegal things, and if there is any way I can get my name off of his 5 year installment car loan of $6,500, I would be so relieved. My name is not on the car or anything else at all. He makes the payments late, and I am very concerned with maintaining my credit. Please help me!

Re: Co-signing Responsibility

Unless the military law would help you there is no way out of the lease unless you buy yourself out of the lease

Sorry for the bad news
