Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Credit Card Lawsuit

I was recently sued by a collection agency regarding an old credit card account. It was last active (I made my last payment) in early 2002. I am sure this is past the statute of limitations in the state of Ohio. I filed a motion to dismiss, which was just denied.

The lawyer for the collection agency has filed a motion for summary judgement, claiming that I did not answer a series of questions. I never received any questions from them. A conference has been scheduled for the first week of August. I am in way over my head and have no idea how to defend myself. Do I respond to the motion for summary judgement? Do I file a continuance to postpone the conference?

I have received no proof from the collection agency that they own the debt, nor have I seen any record of payments, etc. In addition, the collection agency never tried to contact me, either by mail or phone regarding this debt.
