debtors examination
if a collection agency sends a letter and says you must pay the full balance or contact them within 10 days or they will ask the court for a debtors examination, what happens if you don't go to the examination? can a collection agency threaten to have you arrested?

No, but they can ask the court to hold you in contempt, and if the court does that, it could conceivably issue an arrest warrant, or issue a default against you.
