dufauuuuuuult of payment on mortgage by sharing individual

I just had my ex fiancee arrested and removed from my home of six years. He has been living w/me and daughter. He became physically abusive and was arrested. I have a restraing order. In 2003 he signed onto mortgage for refi purposes. He has been out of house for four months total as to date. i am a single working mom, making only $11.oo an hour (approx). Is he legally responsible to pay his share of mortgage? He is not incarserated at this time. Also he has left all of the bills of which I shared paying half of. Is he responsible for his share of payment for the last month he was here? He left me a 500$ ele bill and various other bills. He has taken me so far for over 14 grand...I have no cash to support myself and daughter now...please advise. expensive lawyers are not afforable. He has cleaned me out. Im having to sell my home now and want to be advised if he owes anything,legally. He is not on deed ,just the refianced mortage.

You have an action in contribution against him for half of the bills and mortgage. Getting a judgment is relatively simple, collecting it against him is going to be harder.
