Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

A friend of mine borrowed 300 dollars over 9 months ago. We had a verbal contract that when he got a job, he would pay me back the 300. He now has a job, but continues to avoid me and make excuses. With no written contract only verbal, how do I go about getting my money back.

Fill a complaint in your local small claims court. They generally have a form complaint you can fill out. Proceed to trial and hopefully get judgment. To collect, you can garnish his wages from his new job if you know where he works.
