Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

My ex husband and I divorced July 2011. In the divorce I was suppose to get the 2010 Honda Fit that we had but he was told by the court to get it put in my name.. He never did and ended up taking the car from me.. I was unknowing that I was co owner..To make a long story short Honda has since sold the car and is making me pay the remaining balance.. My question is why doesn't my ex have to pay anything? And I cannot afford the monthly payments of 108 ..I'm putting myself through college.. They are even calling my workplace on a daily basis talking to my managers! A

In Ohio if you have a divorce decree which orders a party to do something and the party so ordered does not comply with the judges orders then you can bring a motion for that party to be held in contempt of court. The court will then hold of hearing Upon the issue of whether or not That party's disobedience Was somehow justified. If the court finds that the disobedience was not justified then he will be held in contempt of court and sentenced to jail. The court May suspend the enforcement of that sentence for a certain period Of time to give the guy a chance to make things right. But if in the end the other party continues to ignore his obligations under the decree Then he will end up in jail.
