Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Judgement Actions

Can someone take legal action against a bank account of someone who is hospitalized and not able to work at this time due to a medical situation? A family member was recently hospitalized under critical conditions, we are in the process of trying to pay their bills with what money they have. One creditor with a unsecured signature note has taken a judgement and now the court has ''impounded'' all the funds from their checking account, leaving no money to cover the checks that were written for some other major accounts; housing and etc.

Re: Judgement Actions

Unfortunately, this may be allowed. You will need to file a 60B motion to vacate the judgment if you personally did not receive service. You will need to see the green card at the clerk of courts for certified mail service to see if you can get the judgment vacated.

Good luck!!!
