Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

letter from an attorney

what does it mean when you receive a letter that states now comes the Plaintiff pursuant to Ohio Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a) and dismisses the above captioned case without prejudice. I have never been informed of any court case so I did not know what the meaning of this was.

Re: letter from an attorney

This is a voluntary dismissal and can be refiled within the apprpriate statute of limitations. It could be extended depending on the timing of the dismissal. This means that for now the case is over. You may want to check the docket to see what happened with the case.
