Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

loan on a car

My mother thought she co-sign 4 a car 4 my sister, however the loan is in my mothers name, and the car is in my sisters name, and the sister has the car, however she is not paying the car payments, my mother can not afford this bill, how can we get the car legally from her, and sell the car so my mother on her fixed income does not have this car payment, without hurting my mothers credit, and what is the fastest way to handle this. thanks

Re: loan on a car

The fastest way is to tell your sister "Hey - I'm coming to get the car and sell it to pay off the loan for Mom." Did you try that?

Or, the other thing that'll happen is the car will be repo'd, and the finance company is going to come after your mom, not your sister. She's your sister - use that to get the deal done.
