Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Loan Pay Off

I have a paid loan note for a travel trailer I traded in. Six months later I received a letter from the bank stating they found an accounting error over a year previous and they say I still owe them money. Shouldn't the paid loan note relieve me of my obligations to the bank?

Re: Loan Pay Off

The fact the the note is listed as paid would help to relieve you of the obligation, but the accounting error was probably unintentional and a court would probably insist that you pay it. Consult a local attorney for advise.

Good luck!!!
