Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio
Have a medical bill that went to collections. Is it still true as long as you make an effort to pay they can't garnish your wages. Offered $50 a month & was rudely told no, it had to be paid off in 1 year, which means $550 down & $50 a month.

In Ohio, there is no rule about whether a creditor can sue for an unpaid bill if you are making installment payments on it. It makes good economic sense to accept payments rather than suing, but good economic sense is not required by law.
