Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio
Medical Bills
I have a friend that got divorced and his ex has about $20,000 in medical bills. She was on his insurance at the time. She refuses to pay any of the bills. Is there anything that he can do about it. He is trying to find out what his obligations are to the bills and what hers are?

Re: Medical Bills
This should have been dealt with in the divorce decree, as to who was obligated as to what debts. His insurance should be able to tell him what was covered, and what was not. If the decree is silent, then he can pay, and sue her for her 50% share.
