Payday avvance loan harrassment

Can a payday advance loan place legally call you work and leave messages for you with your boss and keep harassing your friends and family as well after you have been in contact with them to let them know when you can pay them back and have asked them not to call your work?

Debt collectors are only required to abide by no call requests sent in writing to them by debtors. Verbal requests are insufficient.
