Be Released From a Federal Spousal Consolidation Loan With SallieMae After A Div
Within my final divorce judgement, my ex had agreed to take on our Student Consolidation Loan with SallieMae, but the institution is not releasing me of this consolidation ''you signed it'' reason. It was stated in the divorce decree that I am no longer liable nor shall come against anything that results from this loan. SallieMae doesn't see it that way. What can I do?

The first thing you should do is contact the divorce attorney who wrote the Divorce Decree. He or she should contact Sallie Mae for you in support of the pleading she wrote, signed and filed with the court.
