Re: small cliams suit

Dear LawGuru Friend,

You don't give us lawyers much information to base an answer on; but assuming you are absent from Ohio and want to sue in Ohio, of course you can do it by mail. However, there might, and very possibly will, arrive a time when you would need to go to Ohio to testify in your law suit. You can mail things to Ohio, but should the case be contested and fixed for trial, you might very well have to travel to Ohio to give testimony concerning your case. There is a lot more to this interstate legal matter than this, but this is something to think about. Good luck!

Sincerely,
