Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio
I had surgeries for cancer at local hospital. i still owe one thousand dollars. first time a debt collector contacted me and it was at my work. i can only pay a little at a time $50.00 per month. they said no. they told me i have a job and have to pay $300.00 a month and will continue to call my job. i only work per diem as needed and they called me a liar. what can i do

In Ohio, once you tell a bill collector to stop contacting you, they must cease communications. This may cause them to turn the matter over to their litigation department, but they cannot continue to call you at work without violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
