Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio
utility bill
My grandson's ssn has been for utility connection. A balance is due which was to be paid in 2000 when he was 14 years of age from an address where he never lived as he has lived for years with us, his grandparents. Is he responsible and if not what the legal steps to take.
Thank you,

Re: utility bill
I would think that if you conclusively established his whereabouts via documentation to the utility company that they would rescind the bill. You could also pay the bill, and then sue the involved homeowner for reimbursement.
