Will credit card companies actually take you to court or is it a scare tactic?

Possibly but it depends on how much the person owes. If it is going to cost them more in legal fees then they will often leave it alone and just send threatening letters. Are you being harrassed by a credit card company? I represent many people who are being harrassed by these companies and I am often able to get favorable results for them. I am sure I can do the same for you.
