Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
a 48 hour incarceration without a charge
I was arrested for a theft and was held in the county jail for 51 hours without an official charge. I was released, my question is can the charge resurface and a warrant be issued without me being notified, how do I go about finding out if the case was totally dismissed. The law here told me they could only hold me for 48 hours. I have a feeling there might be more to it than how it has ended.

In order to find out if charges were filed you need to check with the clerk of the municipal court in which the police department is located.
Yes a charge can resurface without you being notified. It is wise to check it out.
