Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

im 19 and i live in ohio. Me and a friend were at walmart last month, we had took a few items and gotten through the detectors when i decided i was gonna to go back to go pay for the stuff because i couldnt do it when we got caught. I only had about maybe $25 (with tax) worth, but when they wrote up the ticket they apparently pooled it together and said it was $270 worth of merchandise (which i think is false, because there was no way we could have had that much.) The Walmart security said that it would be a $250 fine, and thats all he said. I ended up missing the court date because i lost the paper and I thought that it said 9/18, but i found out that when I went to pay the money last week that is was actually 8/18 and that the 250 he was talking about wasn't a fine, but actually bail, and that there was a warrent for me, and that i have to pay $2500! and then i get a call from i guess its walmart's lawyers saying that owe them $200. I don't understand whats going on and i basically keep on getting the run around with everything because no one is telling me anything! I realize that I mad a really big and super stupid mistake and i want to make amends but I know that there is basically no way that i can pay all this money! This is the first time that i have EVER been in trouble, so why am i being charged so much?

My court date is set for the 8th. What can i expect? Whats gonna happen? What can I do? Whats going on? is this going to effect me from getting a job? will i be able to get this taken off my record? Will i have to go to jail?
