Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
I'm 18 and recently was picked up for shoplifting at Macy's in Akron, Ohio for merchandise totalling 140 dollars. I've never had any sort of record, mine is clean. My court date is August 11th. I've got no idea what steps to take here. Please, can someone help? I've been told to not worry about a lawyer, and ask the prosecution about the diversion program, what should i do?
