is this possible?
if i am 18 years old, and my girlfriend is 16 years old, can her mother press any charges on me? this does not refer to rape, and my girlfriend is completely against her mother's threat to have me arrested if i am with her.

It is not statutory rape since the age of consent is 16. If the mother can prove that your relationship is causing her daughter to be delinquent, then she could make a complaint against you...Some cities have a a charge where sex with a minor is a contributing to delinquency charge, but it is not illegal from the state code.
