Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Accused of Child Sex

My own brother and his wife are accusing me of possible sexual conduct/contact with their child (age 5yrs 4 mths) (To which I am innocent) They have seeked the help of a group of doctors to which the child told nothing. As far as I know there is no physical evidence on the child just talk of the this to which repeated the claim again to his mother just yesterday.

My brother wants me to talk to a police officer about this and tell them what I know, which is nothing. I would like to take a polygraph test to show my innoncence but would like some input on this.

Should I hire an attorney or play low key until and or if the police come and talk to me.

Re: Accused of Child Sex

Mr. Cline:

Do not speak with a police officer or anyone else for that matter until after you speak with an attorney. My advice would be for you to take a private polygraph test first and if you pass, then provide the results to the police and your brother. If you fail the polygraph then nobody has to know you took one. Then we can decide if and how we wish to speak with the police.

Re: Accused of Child Sex

This type of accusation is fraught with danger. There are men now serving life in prison based on false charges. I would not talk to the police, your family, or anyone else about this accusation without the assistance of an experienced criminal defense attorney.
