Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
aggravated menacing and telephone harassment
My 21 yr. old son was picked up recently, they said he had a warrant, (he had no idea of it). He hasn't recieved any papers about this at all. He spent 3 days in jail, now these people who claim that he did this have issued a TPO on him. Can they pick him up saying there is a warrant when he hadn't recieved anything? thank you for any help.

Yes , they can. These warrants often come from missed Court appearances and unpaid fines. He may have had a matter pending in a local Court and failed to appear. He may have failed to pay a fine or do community service that he was ordered.
