Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Amount of time for charges to be filed
My 16 year old son was picked up while committing a burglary. All of the other indviduals have had pretrials already. some were minors and others were not. The police dept. has not filed any charges on my son, it has been about six weeks since the incident. Is there a time limit should I keep calling them to see if they intend to file against him. He did co-operate with them and answered all questions. Which led to several other arests for drug trafficking.

Sounds like they will not charge for the assistance that he gave. The time limit is over a year, so you have a ways to go.
