Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
appeals lawyer denied
hi, im writing on behalf of my brother who is currently in prison, they gave him an appeals lawyer for his first appeal, which failed. then when he contacted the public defenders office for his other appeal they told him they were booked and would not give him a lawyer. isnt this against the law? dont they have to supply him with a lawyer? what can or should he do next?
thanks for any help or advice,

Re: appeals lawyer denied
There is no second appeal...unless other issues have come up that were not dealt with in the first. If you call me I can tell you whether there's any chance in pursuing anything else.
