not arrested!

i got pulled over because an object flew out of my truck,and i was in a high crime and drug area.the officers asked me and the passenger to step out of the truck,as the passenger opened the door the officer saw a crack pipe between the door and the seat.first of all who's in posession?the officers called in a dea officer and he told me if i dont work for them they are going to arrest me now and tow my truck.he said to call him monday.so i agreed and didnt get arrested that night.now question is what will happen if i dont call? and can they still arrest me after the fact?

Can they still arrest you after the fact? Yes. What will happen if you don't call? They might arrest you. On the other hand, I'm sure you're aware that it can be very dangerous to become an informant. If I were you, I would hire a lawyer before I talked to the police officer on Monday.
