Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
Bad Checks
I have two bad checks for $80.00 each. I would like to know am I going to jail? I have never been in any trouble or have a record. I just mismanaged my bank account. What is next? The judge told me to come back to court with a lawyer. I can't really afford to lose my job and go to jail.

Re: Bad Checks
You really should have a lawyer for this. The penalty is not going to be bad if you are found guilty-but having this on your record is bad. An attorney may be able to keep this from becoming a permanent part of your record-and that is worth a lot. A theft offense on your record will not be well received by potential employers! I will be happy to talk to you and give you some more details if you email me your contact information or call. I have been helping people with these kinds of issues for over thirty years-no cost or obligation for the call.
Good Luck
