Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio
my boyfriend has been in summit county jail for about a month now and i have sent him numerous letters and he called me the other day and said that the inmates there are not allowed to send letters is this true and why is it?

It depends on prison policy. It is possible that Summit County Jail has a policy that says that an inmate is not allowed to send letters. I do not know for sure. I assume there reason would be that they do not want the inmates to receive or send contraband. If you ask one of the prison guards the next time you are there I am sure they will explain it to you.
