Break in?

I live in a condo owned by an ex-boyfried and do pay him rent. Recently he found out i was seeing someone and he got very upset. When i was gone he came into the condo where i live alone and broke several of my things as well as took my laptop and printer claiming they were his because he bought them for me. What, if anything, can i do? I have lived here for about 8 months, alone.

Call the police and report a break-in. If you do not have a written lease, and are paying rent on a month-to-month basis, terminate your lease and move out.

Can you prove it was your ex-boyfriend who did this? Knowing that it was him is one thing, proving that it was him is another.
