Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

So here is my case, i was pulled over for having a license plate light out, after initial interaction the sheriff stated he could smell alcohol and pot in the car. i declined this assumption and he asked to search i delayed this stating i had some place to be. He didnt buy it. After he said he was getting a drug dog to come in i said ok. After pulling me the driver out i admitted to having two open containers underneath my girlfriends legs (the passenger). he went and grabbed the bottles which were just opened and this was the only thing that i consumed so i know i was above the limit. but that didnt matter because as i was standing behind the car a bowl fell out of my pants and then immediately i was placed under arrest and put in the squad car. They let my girlfriend go, but never removed the alcohol. she went home as i went to the county jail to be processed. I do not recall my miranda rights ever being stated to me. after all was said and done.. they made me strip shower and stay for a little while there until all my processing was done. (3 hours) the summons i received stated " obstructing official business and possession of drugs" now i have had friends that have had far more on them and yet they never went to jail. But i wanted to know what i should expect and how i should prepare. I have never been processed and this is my first real run in. I had some charges issued a few years ago but the case got dismissed and i had a public defender at that time, but this time i feel unsure as how to approach it because i was definitely in the wrong. i have a job i cant afford to lose and was wondering how this may also affect that. please any advice would be helpful i have court thursday oct 16. Thank you

First, do not post any more information and do not discuss the case with anyone. What you post is admissible evidence and can be used against you. More and more, these offenses have very negative "collateral damage", for example, losing your job and not being able to get a new one. You should borrow the money and hire an experienced attorney who works in the jurisdiction where you were arrested. To do anything less will put your future at risk for a long time.
